Renee Caithamer
LUDINGTON — Renee Caithamer has been elected as the next Ludington city treasurer. Caithamer was among four people who had run write-in campaigns for the position. No one had filed formally as a candidate.
The Mason County Board of Canvassers completed its certification process today with the following results:
– Renee Caithamer: 174
– Thomas Rotta: 17
– Curtis Shields: 50
– Joan Walton: 44
Ludington’s charter requires the citizens to elect the treasurer and the clerk, a practice that most town’s its size have eliminated.
Another active write-in race is for the third open Mason County Central Board of Education race. Those results will be published when they become available.
