“The Michigan State Police, Hart post, is conducting a death investigation involving an individual that was recovered on the shore of Lake Michigan near Pentwater this morning,” states an MSP press release on X, formerly Twitter.

“No identification was located on the remains, and detectives are working to identify this individual,” states the press release. “Foul play is not suspected at this time as the investigation continues. Anyone with information is asked to contact the MSP Hart post at 231-873-2171.”

A 911 call came in around 11 a.m. from North Timbershores Drive that an “object, possibly a body washed up on shore,” said the 911 dispatcher.
