Deborah “Deby” Ruegsegger, 67, of Ludington, fell asleep in death October 2, 2024, after a short battle with cancer. She was born August 30, 1957, in Alma.
Deby enjoyed cruising in the Caribbean, walks along the Lake Michigan shore, digging in the dirt with her hands and planting flowers, working with numbers and trying her hand at different arts and crafts. Most of all she loved her family and her Creator, Jehovah God.
Deby is now waiting to hear the Lord’s voice call her to a resurrection as the scriptures promise at John 5:28,29. She was a member of the Ludington Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses for 29 Years. As an evangelizer she enjoyed sharing good news from the Bible with others she talked to, like the promise in Revelation 21:3,4 which points to a future when there will be no more suffering or death.
Deby is survived by: her husband of nearly 46 years, Dale Ruegsegger; her daughter and son-in-law, Andrea and John Mears of Ludington; her parents, Robert and Joyce Winkelman of Riverdale; and her brothers, Dennis Winkelman, Mike Winkelman, and Gary (Dawn) Winkelman.
A memorial service will be held at a later date at the Ludington Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
The family would like to thank the nurses of Corewell Health Hospice.
Beacon Cremation & Funeral Service, Pere Marquette Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
