The following is recent police activity in Mason County:

Monday, Sept. 30, 2024:

• 3:38 p.m., (Mason County Sheriff’s Office), two-vehicle crash, no injury, Pere Marquette Highway south of US 10, Pere Marquette Township.
• 8:07 p.m., (Ludington Police Department), a 30-year-old Ludington man was cited for driving without a license, and a 43-year-old Ludington woman was cited for allowing an unlicensed driver to drive a vehicle following a traffic stop near Ludington Avenue and Lavinia Street, City of Ludington.
• 8:29 p.m., (LPD), a 29-year-old Ludington man was arrested for domestic assault following a call in the 400 block of Third Street, City of Ludington. He was lodged in the Mason County Jail.  
• 10:51 p.m., (LPD), a 19-year-old Ludington man was cited for driving without a license following a traffic stop near Ludington Avenue and Atkinson Drive, City of Ludington. 

Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2024:

• 12:21 a.m., (LPD), a 41-year-old homeless woman and 40-year-old homeless man were arrested on warrants issued in Oceana County following a traffic stop near Ludington Avenue and Franklin Street, City of Ludington. The woman’s warrant was for methamphetamine possession, and the man had two warrants for failure to appear. Both were lodged in the Mason County Jail.
