Jennifer Lee Albrecht, 34, of Ludington, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Grand Rapids on Aug. 20, 1990. Jenn was the beloved daughter of Don and Mary Albrecht. She grew up in Ludington and was a proud graduate of Ludington High School with the Class of 2008. She was voted homecoming queen in 2007, one year after her sister, Nicole, was selected for the same honor.

Jenn graduated from Central Michigan University in 2012 with a degree in hospitality management. She had a successful career in the hospitality industry, working as a server, manager and top sales representative. Her passion for fine food led her to explore the intricacies of culinary arts, and she became a connoisseur on the subject. Her natural charm and professionalism touched the lives of many throughout her career.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Jenn was a devoted and fun-loving aunt to her niece, Addison, and nephews, Brady and Brooks. She took great joy in spoiling them and creating cherished memories with her family. Her dog, Ollie, was her constant companion, bringing warmth and happiness to her everyday life.


Jenn was an adventurer at heart. An avid traveler, she studied abroad during her college years and visited several places around the world. Whether discovering new cultures, tasting exotic foods or enjoying the beauty of different landscapes, she embraced each journey with enthusiasm and curiosity.


Jennifer lived a life without limitations. She was known for her fierce determination, kindness and tenacity. Her family affectionately called her “Sarge,” a fitting nickname for her bold spirit and her ability to take charge with love and strength. She was always full of heart, willing to lend a hand and left an indelible mark on everyone she encountered.


Jenn was preceded in death by her grandparents, Don and Helen Albrecht, and Tom and Margaret Sniegowski.


Jenn is survived by her parents, Don and Mary Albrecht; sister, Nicole (Steven) Castonia; niece, Addison Castonia; and two nephews, Brady and Brooks Castonia; her boyfriend, Chris Brown; aunts and uncles; Martha and Brian Hamilton; Kathy and Tom McCumber; John and Christy Sniegowski; Tom and Susan Sniegowski; Tim Sniegowski; Cliff and Russelle Albrecht; Ray and Deb Albrecht; Mike and Mary Albrecht; and Diane Cameron; and several cousins, including Laura McCumber, who was more like a sister.


Jenn easily made friends everywhere she went and left a lasting impact on them. Jenn was known for her vibrant spirit, warm heart and devotion to her family, friends and community.

Jenn’s life will be celebrated with a visitation on Monday, September 30, 2024 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Oak Grove Funeral Home of Ludington. A Mass from the Order of Christian Funerals will be held on Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at 11 a.m. at St. Simon Catholic Church in Ludington with Rev. Wayne B. Wheeler Jr. presiding. Visitation on Tuesday will begin at 10 a.m. at the church. Memorial contributions can be directed to a charity of choice in Jenn’s name.
