Boat trailer reported stolen, tire slashed at river access

BRANCH TOWNSHIP —A boat trailer was reported stolen from a vehicle, and a tire was reportedly slashed at the South Walhalla River Access Tuesday, Sept. 10, at 9 p.m., according to Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole.

Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2024:

  • 2:31 a.m., car/deer crash, no injury, US 10 west of Tuttle Road, Custer Township.

Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2024:

  • 2:20 a.m., car/deer crash, no injury, Stiles Road south of Decker Road, Amber Township.
  • 5:48 p.m., two-vehicle crash, no injury, US 10 and Meyers Road, Amber Township.
  • 9:07 p.m., a 43-year-old Ludington man was arrested on an outstanding Mason County probation violation warrant, Federal Forest Trail #5692, Grant Township.
  • 9:52 p.m., a 70-year-old Ludington man was arrested on a Mason County Sheriff’s Office warrant for felony child abuse, 600 block of South Pere Marquette Highway, Pere Marquette Township.
