It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Vicky Lynn Savich, who left us on August 31, 2024, at the age of 64. Born on March 19, 1960, in Ludington, Vicky was a beacon of light and love to all who knew her. Her journey on this earth began in Ludington and concluded in Grand Rapids, where she took her final breath surrounded by her two children and five of her seven grandchildren.
Vicky was the cherished daughter of George and Verda Collins. She grew up in a home filled with love, warmth, and strong family values. She was preceded in death by her dearly missed brother, Frederick Collins, who she held close in her heart every day, and her mother, Verda Collins.
Vicky was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Her legacy lives on through her children: Joel Savich and Shayla Savich, her grandchildren: Mackenzie Savich, Madison Savich, Hunter Savich, Sarica Savich, Owen Savich, and Waylon Savich. Her family was her pride and joy, and she instilled in them the values of compassion, resilience, and the importance of family.
She is survived by her father, George Collins, who she admired deeply. Her siblings, Bertha (Orval) Jensen, George Collins, James Collins, Karen Collins, and her best friend, Malissa Taylor. We will always remember Vicky for her boundless generosity, her infectious laughter, and her unwavering support.
Her passing leaves a void that cannot be filled, but her spirit lives on in the memories and hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her. Vicky’s legacy is one of love, courage, and the profound impact of a life well-lived. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
A celebration of life party will be held Saturday, May 24, 2025 from 3 to 6 p.m. at 1369 US-31, Scottville.
