79th District Court sentencings, posted Sept. 6, 2024

LUDINGTON — The following were recently sentenced in Mason County’s 79th District Court:

-Trisha Lynn Schultz, 45, pleaded guilty on September 4 to a reduced charge of operating a vehicle while impaired by liquor and was sentenced to 93 days in jail (suspended sentence), must seek outpatient treatment, no drugs or alcohol, subject to random PBTs, must attend victim’s impact panel, and $690 in fines/costs. The original charge of operating while intoxicated was dismissed as part of a plea agreement.

-Brant William Slade, 49, pleaded guilty on September 4 to third-degree retail fraud and was sentenced to 93 days in jail (suspended sentence) and $125 in fines/costs.

-Jennifer Lee Snyder, 46, pleaded no contest on September 4 to truancy and was sentenced to pay $125 in fines/costs.

-Edward John Thompson, 70, pleaded guilty on September 4 to driving while license not valid and was sentenced to two days in jail and $500 in fines/costs.

-Johan Benjamin Hamilton, 22, pleaded guilty on September 4 to a reduced charge of operating a vehicle while impaired by liquor and was sentenced to 93 days in jail (suspended sentence), no drugs or alcohol, must attend victim’s impact panel, and $690 in fines/costs. The original charge of operating while intoxicated was dismissed as part of a plea agreement.

-Adam Russell VanderVest, 38, pleaded guilty on September 4 to operating a vehicle while intoxicated and was sentenced to 93 days in jail (suspended sentence), no drugs/alcohol, must attend victim’s impact panel, and $980 in fines/costs. A charge of possession of a weapon while under the influence was dismissed as part of a plea agreement.
