RIVERTON TOWNSHIP — A 54 year-old Waukegan, Illinois man was arrested on charges of felon in possession of a firearm and reckless discharge of a firearm Tuesday, Aug. 20, shortly after 2:30 p.m. after Mason County sheriff’s deputies and Michigan State Police troopers responded to a reported shots fired call at Riggle and Bradshaw roads, according to Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole.
“During the investigation, a suspect was identified and an M4 style rifle was recovered,” said Sheriff Cole. The man was lodged in the Mason County Jail.

12:35 a.m., (Ludington Police Department), a 19-year-old homeless man was arrested for bond violation following a call about a disturbance in the area of Washington Avenue and Lake Street, City of Ludington. The man was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
