BRANCH TOWNSHIP — A 43-year-old Ludington woman was arrested for driving under the influence of drugs after she reportedly rear-ended a vehicle on US 10 west of Campbell Road Friday, Aug. 9, shortly before 2:30 p.m., according to Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole.
“She allegedly fled the scene eastbound on US 10 and was stopped by the the Lake County Sheriff’s Office following a ‘be on the lookout,'” said Sheriff Cole. She was turned over to Mason County deputies who arrested her. She was lodged in the Mason County Jail.

Saturday, Aug. 10, 2024:
- 12:50 a.m., a 34-year-old Ludington woman was arrested for domestic violence following a 911 call reporting an assault, 6600 block of West Decker Road, Hamlin Township.
- 11:29 a.m., alarm activation, Amber Township.
Sunday, Aug. 11, 2024:
- 12:52 a.m., car/deer crash, no injury, US 10 east of Main Street, Custer Township.
- 7:50 a.m., alarm activation, Hamlin Township.
- 8:05 a.m., alarm activation, Amber Township.
- 4:05 p.m., a 25-year-old Custer man was arrested on an outstanding Mason County domestic violence warrant following a traffic stop, Taco Bell parking lot, 4400 block of West US 10, Amber Township.
- 10:08 p.m., two-vehicle crash, no injury, US 10 east of Pere Marquette Highway, Pere Marquette Township.
