Tuesday, Aug. 6 is the Michigan primary election. Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
During Tuesday’s election, partisan candidates will be selected to be their party’s nominee for the Nov. 5 General Election. Additionally, in some non-partisan races, if there are more than two candidates, the voters will narrow their choices to two finalists for the General Election.
Since this is a primary election, voters can only vote for one political party.
