SCOTTVILLE — A 57-year-old Scottville woman may face misdemeanor charges of misuse of 911 after she called 911 multiple times on July 4. According to Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole, the sheriff’s office has requested a warrant against the woman after she reportedly made several calls to Mason-Oceana 911.
According to reports, the woman was intoxicated and stated she needed help. Once deputies arrived she denied needing any help and started swearing at deputies. She made several more calls throughout the night, but refused to answer the door for responding deputies.
Dispatch logs from Mason-Oceana 911 show that EMS, fire and law enforcement were called to the residence twice on Wednesday, July 3 as well.
Misuse of 911 is punishable by up to 93 days in jail.
