Patricia Evelyn Petersen, 91 of Ludington, passed away on Friday, May 10, 2024. She was born March 27, 1933, in Muskegon, the daughter of the late Carl L. and Elizabeth A. (Przybylski) Adamczyk.
Pat graduated from St. Simon High School with the Class of 1950. The following year, Pat married Don Demery Petersen on November 10, 1951 at St. Simon Catholic Church in Ludington. She was employed at the Mason County Clerk’s Office, retiring after many years.
In her spare time, Pat enjoyed gardening, cooking, canning, cosmetology, catering with Marcia Sadler and crew. Pat also loved shopping, especially when she was teaching her grandchildren how to get the best deals.
Pat is survived by her children, Marcia Dolle, Mark (Debbie) Petersen, and Marty (Kathy) Petersen; her grandchildren, Teresa Budzynski, Angela Reader, Andrea (Ben) Nielsen, Alison (Roger) Tominski, Chris (Selina) Petersen, Josh Petersen, Lauren Petersen, Taylor Petersen, Shelby Petersen, Evan Petersen, and Ryan Grams; her great-grandchildren, Kira (Tim Beach) Budzynski, Khloe Budzynski, Chase Reader, Grace Nielsen, Noah Nielsen, Connor (Hannah Schmuhl) Tominski, and Jack Grams; her great-great-grandsons, Gavin Tominski, and Riley Petersen; her son-in-law, Dennis Grams; her brother, Gerald Adamczyk; her brother-in-law, Dale Petersen; and many nieces and nephews.
Pat was preceded in death by: her parents, Carl and Elizabeth Adamczyk; her husband, Don Petersen; her daughter, Marla Grams; her sons-in-law, Steven Soule and Joe Dolle; her sister, Marge Zahorik; her brother, James Adamczyk; and her grandson-in-law, Brad Budzynski.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Saturday, May 18, 2024, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Custer with Father Dan DePew presiding. Interment will follow in the Pere Marquette Catholic Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 9 a.m. until time of Mass at the church.
Memorial Contributions in honor of Pat may be made to Hospice of Michigan or Caritas Food Pantry at St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
