Eric Lindenau, Jr.

Eric Neil Lindenau Jr., 29, of Scottville, passed away on Sunday, April 14, 2024.

Eric was born on January 26, 1995, the son of Eric and Lacy (Zay) Lindenau. He graduated from Lighthouse Baptist Academy in 2013. Shortly after graduation he attended Pensacola Christian College. On August 24, 2019, he married his forever love, Willow (Cort) Lindenau.

Eric, lovingly known as Tuna, and Little E, was a devoted member of Lighthouse Baptist Church. He was a man of many talents, and those abilities were often used to help others. From construction projects to vehicle repairs to painting, Tuna found great satisfaction in using his talents to help someone else succeed.

Eric was unapologetically proud to be an American, a vocal supporter of the Second Amendment, and an avid outdoorsman. Eric inherited his love for hunting from his father, and the two of them would spend much of October and November together scouting and hunting.

While sports, hunting, fishing, and grilling were all passions of Tuna, none of them could rival the love and devotion he had for his family. Tuna was a loving and compassionate husband, son, brother, uncle, and friend. His wife Willow was the love of his life, and he took immense pride in the amazing transformation they had accomplished on their home in Scottville.

Eric had a large and diverse family. It didn’t matter your last name, your skin color, your age, or any other descriptive; if Tuna called you family, you were family forever.

Eric had a love for Jesus, and much of his life was spent investing in the next generation through the ministry of Lighthouse Baptist Church. From teaching children’s classes to working in the youth ministry, Eric impacted countless lives for Christ.

Few individuals have accomplished as much as Eric did in his 29 years, and he was undoubtedly welcomed home by his Heavenly Father with the words “Well done, my good and faithful servant.”

Eric is survived by his wife, Willow Lindenau; parents, Lacy, and Eric Lindenau; sister, Brooke (Isaiah) Ramos and their son, Bodhi; uncles, Jim (Michelle) Lindenau, and Jason (Marsha) Warren; cousins, Scott (Heather) Stadler, Justyce (Jared) Johnson, and Deavon Stadler.

Eric was preceded in death by his grandma, Joyce Warren; aunts, Janet Wilson, and Josie Lindenau; and grandpa, Robert Zay.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2024, at Lighthouse Baptist Church in Hamlin Township at 11 a.m. Visitation begins at 9:30am at the church.
