Joshua VandenHeuvel

Joshua VandenHeuvel, 40, of Scottville, died on Wednesday, March 13, 2024.  He was born February 7, 1984, in San Diego, California to Sharon Renee Curtis and Kurt James VandenHeuvel. He graduated in 2003 while living in Foley, Alabama. Josh later moved back to Michigan to be closer to family.   In his free time he loved horticulture, gaming, the outdoors and spending time with his loved ones and his puppies.

Josh will be forever missed by his mother, Sharon Renee Curtis; stepdad, Jeffery Hathaway; brother, Jarrad (Jennifer) VandenHeuvel; niece, Ashlynn VandenHeuvel; nephew, Mason VandenHeuvel; long-time girlfriend, Jasmine Masunas; aunt Nancy Curtis, uncle John (Ruth Ann) Curtis, aunt Carmen (Joe) Curtis-Skowronski, grandfather John Curtis; grandfather George Forman; cousins Samantha (AJ) Klepper, Alexa (Levi) Whipple, Zayne (Haleigh) Curtis, Jacob Trafelet, Dylan (Tammy) Sorensen, Christine (Russell Gibson) Trafelet,  Logan (Kristin) Sorensen and Makynzie Curtis; father Kurt (Chato) VandenHeuvel; Aunt Melody (Craig) Baughman;  Aunt Kelly VandenHeuvel Perez; cousins Jamie (Dan) Kinyon-Piotrowicz and Karen Kinyon; grandparents Carl and Chris Kostecki; and many other family members and friends.

Josh was proceeded in death by his maternal grandmother, Norena Forman; and his paternal grandfather, James VandenHeuvel.

His memory will be cherished by all who knew him.  Fly high Joshua.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, April 6, 2024 at the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Hart.
