The following is police activity in Mason County over the weekend:

Friday, Feb. 16, 2024:

  • 12:16 p.m., (Mason County Sheriff’s Office), ​a 66-year-old Fountain man was cited for operating without a license following a traffic stop, US 10 and Amber Road, Amber Township.
  • 1:16 p.m., (MCSO), a 24-year-old Ludington man was arrested on an outstanding warrant issued in Cheboygan County for felony assault and resisting arrest, US 10 near Jebavy Drive, Pere Marquette Township.
  • 4:46 p.m., (MCSO), a 67-year-old Fountain woman was cited for failure to stop and identify at a crash, operating without insurance and and failure to yield following a two-vehicle crash, Stolberg Road and 20th Street, Sheridan Township. No one was injured.
  • 6:08 p.m., (Ludington Police Department), a 46-year-old homeless man was arrested on an outstanding warrant issued by Mason County’s 51st Circuit Court, 1100 block of South Madison Street, City of Ludington. He was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
  • 7:45 p.m., (LPD), a 29-year-old Ludington man was arrested on two warrants issued by Mason County’s 79th District Court and cited for driving while license revoked following a traffic stop, 300 block of South Rath Avenue, City of Ludington. He was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
  • 8:09 p.m., (LPD), a 27-year-old man was arrested for operating while intoxicated following a traffic stop near the intersection of Robert and Loomis streets, City of Ludington. He was lodged in the Mason County Jail.

Saturday, Feb. 17, 2024:

  • 12:28 a.m., (LPD), a 32-year-old Ludington man was arrested on an outstanding warrant issued in Kent County following a traffic stop near the intersection of Madison Street and Ludington Avenue, City of Ludington. He was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
  • 2:29 a.m,. (LPD), a 29-year-old West Branch man was arrested for illegal entry and public intoxication, 100 block North Rath Avenue, City of Ludington. He was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
  • 9:45 a.m., (LPD), a 34-year-old Ludington man was arrested on an outstanding probation violation warrant issued by the 51st Circuit Court, 200 block of West Tinkham Avenue, City of Ludington. He was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
  • 2:38 p.m., (MCSO), two-vehicle crash, no injury, eastbound US 31 off-ramp and US 10, Amber Township.

Sunday, Feb. 18, 2024:

  • 2:12 a.m., (MCSO), a 28-year-old Ludington man was arrested for second-offense operating while intoxicated and on an outstanding failure to appear warrant issued by the Michigan State Police, Hart post, following a traffic stop, US 10 and Pere Marquette Highway, Pere Marquette Township.
  • 5:26 a.m., (MCSO), one-vehicle crash, no injury, Scottville Road north of Wilson Road, Custer Township.
  • 5:41 p.m., (MCSO), two-vehicle crash, no injury, Custer and Treml roads, Free Soil Township.
  • 7:21 p.m., (MCSO), a 48-year-old Ludington woman was arrested for probation violation after she was reportedly found intoxicated while on probation, 5700 block of Barton Road, Pere Marquette Township.

Monday, Feb. 19, 2024:

  • 2:42 a.m., (LPD), a 44-year-old homeless woman was arrested on two outstanding warrants issued by Oceana County’s 79th District Court, 500 block of North Rowe Avenue, City of Ludington. She was arrested and later turned over to officers from the Hart Police Department.
