Police report several crashes, slide-offs on snowy roads

MASON COUNTY — The Mason County Sheriff’s Office has reported several vehicle crashes and slide-offs on snowy roads.
A 67-year-old Ludington man was injured following a rear-end crash Wednesday, Feb. 14, shortly before 8 p.m. on Sugar Grove Road west of US 31 in Victory Township, said Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole. Life EMS transported him to Corewell Health Ludington Hospital.

Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2024:
- 7:06 a.m., (MCSO), one-vehicle rollover crash, no injury, US 31 south of Countyline Road, Grant Township.
- 7:15 a.m., (MCSO), numerous slide offs, no injuries, Pere Marquette Highway between Hesslund and Lenz roads, Pere Marquette Township.
- 7:37 a.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, Conrad Road west of Amber Road, Amber Township.
- 9:11 a.m., (MCSO), alarm activation, Pere Marquette Township.
- 10:32 a.m., (MCSO), two-vehicle crash, no injury, 5500 block of West US 10, Pere Marquette Township.
- 2 p.m., (MCSO), a 34-year-old Mason County man was cited for second-offense driving while license suspended following a traffic stop, State Street and Reinberg Road, City of Scottville.
Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2024:
- 9 a.m., (Michigan State Police), a 30-year-old Mount Pleasant woman was arrested on a three-count warrant issued in Kent County for charges of failure to stop and identify following a traffic crash, unlawful license plate and operating without insurance, 400 block of Danaher Street, City of Ludington. She was transported to the Mason-Oceana counties line where she was turned over to Kent County law enforcement.
- 3:17 p.m., (Ludington Police Department), a 58-year-old Ludington man was arrested for felonious assault, 700 block of East Foster Street, City of Ludington. He was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
