PERE MARQUETTE TOWNSHIP — An intruder or intruders climbed through the window of a financial business located in the 300 block of North Jebavy Drive and vandalized the inside of the business, said Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole.

The crime was reported Saturday, Feb. 3, just before 11 a.m. “The complainant reported an unknown person had entered the building through a window, and vandalized the inside of the business,” said Sheriff Cole. “Responding deputies also found a similar incident at the business next door.”

Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2024:

  • 4 p.m., (Michigan State Police), a 35-year-old Walkerville man was arrested on a warrant, 5100 block of Sixth Street, Pere Marquette Township.

Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2024:

  • 7:30 p.m., (MSP), a 32-year-old Ludington man was arrested on a felony warrant, US 10, Pere Marquette Towsnhip.

Thursday, Feb. 1, 2024:

  • 8:21 a.m., (Mason County Sheriff’s Office), car/deer crash, no injury, US 31 freeway south of Meisenheimer Road, Summit Township.
  • 7:42 p.m., (MCSO), car/dog crash, no injury, Pere Marquette Highway south of Iris Road, Pere Marquette Township.

Friday, Feb. 2, 2024:

  • 11:43 a.m., (MCSO), ​retail fraud, Walmart, West US 10, Pere Marquette Township. Numerous incidents of “under ringing” involving the same subject were reported. The case remains under investigation.
  • Noon, (MCSO), a 35-year-old Ludington man was arrested on an outstanding bench warrant after he arrived at court for another matter, M​ason County Courthouse, City of Ludington.
  • 6:35 p.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, US 31 freeway north of Conrad Road, Amber Township.

Saturday, Feb. 3, 2024:

  • 8:41 a.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, Chauvez Road west of Schwass Road, Riverton Township.
  • 10:59 a.m., (MSP), a 61-year-old Muskegon woman was cited for unlawful license plate and unregistered vehicle, Meyers Road, Amber Township.
  • 12:20 p.m., (Ludington Police Department), a 36-year-old Custer man was cited for driving while license suspended near the intersection of US 10 and Nelson Road, City of Ludington.
  • 2:38 p.m., (LPD), a 24-year-old Ludington woman was arrested on an outstanding warrant issued by Mason County’s 79th District Court, 900 block of South Washington Avenue, City of Ludington. She was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
  • 10:12 p.m., (LPD), a 55-year-old Ludington man was arrested on an outstanding warrant issued by Mason County’s 79th District Court, 100 block of South Adams Street, City of Ludington. He was lodged in the Mason County Jail.

Sunday, Feb. 4, 2024:

  • 8:24 p.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, US 10-31, Amber Township.
