PERE MARQUETTE TOWNSHIP — The Mason County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate a retail fraud case at Walmart on US 10 in which the alleged female suspect ran from the store after being detained by loss prevention Monday, Jan. 8, shortly after 2:30 p.m., according to Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole.

  • In an unrelated matter, Mason County sheriff’s deputies also responded to a two-vehicle, hit-and-run crash Monday, Jan. 8, shortly after 3:30 p.m. in the 3900 block of West US 10 in Amber Township. No one was injured.
