Superintendent thanks school board members

Dear Editor and Community,
January is School Board Recognition Month in Michigan. It’s important to highlight this because school board members all across our area dedicate their time, insights, and talents to support students, educators, and the learning-related goals of our public schools.
The purpose of this letter is to share great appreciation for those serving on the Board of the West Shore Educational Service District: Shirley Chancellor, James Dittmer, Dr. Mark Forner, Vince Greiner, Irma Hinojosa, Ellen Kerans, and Jim Riffle.
WSESD supports nearly 8,000 students in school districts across Lake, Oceana, and Mason counties, so the work of our board impacts the region significantly. Please join me in saying “thank you” to our board members and those in the local school districts for consistently acting with the best interests of students, educators and the community in mind.
Sincerely, Dr. Jason Jeffrey
Superintendent WSESD
