Man who was driving in circles in a yard urinates on, spits on and attempts to bite deputies

HAMLIN TOWNSHIP — A 34-year-old Ludington man was arrested Tuesday, Nov. 21, at 3:30 a.m. in the 1300 block of North Lakeshore Drive following a 911 call reporting a vehicle driving in circles in the caller’s yard, said Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole.
“Responding deputies located the vehicle and driver still on the property. The suspect, appearing to be under the influence of drugs, urinated on deputies; fought with and spit on several deputies in the jail; and attempted to bite two deputies while being secured,” said Sheriff Cole. He was arrested on an outstanding failure to appear warrant issued by the Ludington Police Department on a charge of operating while intoxicated.
“Additional charges are likely, including assault on law enforcement and correctional deputies,” said Sheriff Cole.

- 4:16 p.m., (Ludington Police Department), a 42-year-old Ludington man was arrested on an outstanding felony warrant issued by Mason County’s 79th District Court for possession of methamphetamine, 400 block of South Harrison Street, City of Ludington. He was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
- 8:16 p.m., (Mason County Sheriff’s Office), a 52-year-old Ludington man was arrested on an outstanding probation violation warrant, 600 block of East Melendy Street, City of Ludington. He was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
