FloraCraft, Sandcastles partner for free community Christmas party
LUDINGTON – FloraCraft is partnering with Sandcastles Children’s Museum to sponsor its annual Christmas party on Saturday, Dec. 16 from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. The free event will be held at the museum, 129 E. Ludington Ave., and will include crafts, bike giveaways, a visit from Santa and more.
“We are thrilled to help open up this special holiday event at Sandcastles to our entire community,” FloraCraft CEO Steve Carlson said. “Our community is a cornerstone of our success, so we are committed to finding opportunities to give back. We know the creative team at the museum is going to make this event fun for kids of all ages.”
The event sponsorship will replace FloraCraft’s Santa’s Workshop, which in past years was held at the company’s campus.
“As our business continues to expand here in Ludington, we’ve found we have more constraints on how large of an event we can hold on our campus,” Carlson said. “Our team worked diligently to identify a way we could keep the spirit of Santa’s Workshop alive, and we found it with our friends at Sandcastles. We hope the community will be just as excited as we are about this Christmas party.”
Activities will include:
- A visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
- 14 bike giveaways, sponsored by FloraCraft
- A Christmas craft project, sponsored by FloraCraft
- Cookie decorating
- Christmas music with The String A Longs from 11 a.m. to noon
- Balloon creations by John Marek from noon to 1 p.m.
- Access to museum exhibits
“We’d like to extend a special thank you to FloraCraft for sponsoring our Christmas party,” Sandcastles Executive Director Kristin Korendyke said. “This popular event is going to be even more special this year since we can open it up to the community for free. We hope everyone will come down as we kick off the holiday season in style.”
