Ludington man arrested for OWI, carrying concealed weapon

RIVERTON TOWNSHIP — A 22-year-old Ludington man was arrested by Mason County sheriff’s deputies for operating while intoxicated and carrying a concealed weapon following a traffic stop Tuesday, Oct. 31, at 9:40 p.m. at Chauvez Road near Scottville Road, according to Mason County Undersheriff Derrek Wilson. He was lodged in the Mason County Jail.

Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2023:

• 8:05 a.m., car/deer crash, no injury, US 10 near Quarterline Road, Amber Township.
• 8:06 a.m., car/deer crash, no injury, Washington Road near Schwass Road, Riverton Township.
• 8:42 a.m., car/deer crash, no injury, Custer Road near Treml Road, Free Soil Township.
• 1 p.m., a 35-year-old Fountain woman was arrested on a failure to appear warrant issued by Mason County’s 79th District Court for a charge of driving while license suspended, 2000 block of 18th Street, Sheridan Township. She was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
• 5:39 p.m., two-vehicle crash, no injury, Jebavy Drive near Breckenridge Road, Hamlin Township.
• 10:22 p.m., single-car crash, no injury, Pere Marquette Highway near First Street, Pere Marquette Township.

Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2023:

• 5:14 a.m., car/deer crash, no injury, US 31 near Fountain Road, Victory Township.
• 6:01 a.m., car/deer crash, no injury, Chauvez Road near Brye Road, Riverton Township.
• 8 a.m., car/deer crash, no injury, Scottville Road near Conrad Road, Amber Township.
