Obituary: Mary Barrington, 79, of Ludington

Mary Gwen Barrington, 79, of Ludington, passed away on Sunday, October 15, 2023.

Mary Gwen was born on March 18, 1944, the daughter of John E. and Alta E. Barrington. She was a 1963 graduate of Ludington High School. Mary Gwen went on to attend Michigan State University. She was baptized and confirmed at Emanuel Lutheran Church where she attended Sunday School on a regular basis and later joined the Luther League, a young people’s organization. +

Mary Gwen had long term health problems but despite this, her strong faith and love for God and Jesus Christ never wavered. She was blessed with many loving and loyal friends and family. She is greatly missed.

Mary Gwen is survived by her two brothers, John E. and Robert L. Barrington of Ludington; her aunt, and numerous cousins.

Mary Gwen was preceded in death by her parents, John E. and Alta (Wooster) Barrington.

A funeral will be held on Friday, October 20, 2023 at 11 a.m. at Emanual Lutheran Church in Ludington with Rev. Mick Shriver presiding. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. at the church. Mary Gwen will be laid to rest at Lakeview Cemetery in Ludington.
