Heroin possession arrest tops police activity

PERE MARQUETTE TOWNSHIP — A 49-year-old Fountain woman was arrested by Michigan State Police troopers from the Hart post Tuesday, Oct. 10, shortly after 1:30 p.m. at Meyers Road and John Harlan Drive for heroin possession and a failure to appear warrant, according to MSP Sgt. Dan Thomas. She was lodged in the Mason County Jail.

Thursday, Oct. 12, 2023:

• 6:20 a.m., (Mason County Sheriff’s Office), two-vehicle crash, no injury, US 10 and Pere Marquette Highway, Pere Marquette Township.
• 6:30 a.m.,  (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, Fountain Road east of Angling Road, Victory Township.
• 10:39 a.m., (Ludington Police Department), a 71-year-old Ludington woman was arrested on a failure to appear warrant for an operating while intoxicated charge, 200 block of North Emily Street, City of Ludington. She was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
• 2:21 p.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, Stiles Road south of Hansen Road, Amber Township.​
• 7:57 p.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, Stiles Road south of Hansen Road, Amber Township.
• 10:03 p.m., (LPD), a 45-year-old Chase, Michigan woman was arrested on a warrant issued in Mecosta County for failure to appear on a larceny charge, 1000 block of South Washington Avenue, City of Ludington. She was lodged in the Mason County Jail.

The Scottville Police Department did not report any recent activity.
