Warrant arrests top police activity
The following is recent police activity in Mason County:
Monday, Oct. 2, 2023:
- 7:34 a.m., (Mason County Sheriff’s Office), car/deer crash, no injury, US 10 east of Jackson Road, Pere Marquette Township.
- 2:47 p.m., (MCSO), larceny of a chainsaw, 1000 block of South Reek Road at Indian Bridge, Custer Township. The complainant reported the theft of a chainsaw out of the back of his pickup truck.
- 10:19 p.m., (Ludington Police Department), a 34-year-old Ludington man was arrested on an outstanding failure to appear warrant issued in Grand Traverse County, Washington and Lake streets, City of Ludington. He was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2023:
- 1:46 a.m., (LPD), a 30-year-old Ludington man was arrested on two outstanding 79th District Court warrants for failure to appear, Waterfront Park, City of Ludington. He was also charged with giving a false name to the officer. The man was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
