SCOTTVILLE — The Western Michigan Old Engine Club hosted its annual Education Day for area fifth graders Wednesday, Sept. 20 at its show grounds at Scottville Riverside Park. The event, which has been an old engine club tradition for over 30 years, included over 350 kids from six schools, including Mason County Central, Mason County Eastern and Ludington Area Schools; a large homeschool group also attended.
During Education Day, the students learn about homesteading and agricultural practices of the early 20th century.
