The following is recent Mason County Sheriff’s Office activity Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2023:
- 7:02 a.m., one-vehicle crash, no injury, US 31 freeway south of the Ludington rest area, Summit Township.
- 11:18 a.m., damaged jet ski, Ludington State Park, Hamlin Township. The complainant reported that someone had intentionally pulled the drain plug on a jet ski, which caused it to partially sink, and damaged the battery compartment.
- 6:22 p.m., two-vehicle hit-and-run crash, no injury, Pere Marquette Highway south of Hawley Road, Summit Township.
- 3:02 p.m., warrant arrest, Mason County Courthouse, City of Ludington. A 30-year-old Hesperia man was arrested on a three-count felony drug warrant issued in Mason County after he appeared in the 51st Circuit Court on another matter.
