PERE MARQUETTE TOWNSHIP  — A 24-year-old Free Soil man and a 30 year-old Scottville woman both received minor injuries after the vehicles they were driving collided head-on on Chauvez Road west of Brye Road Monday, Aug. 21, shortly after 1:30 p.m., according to Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole.

Other Mason County Sheriff’s Office activity Monday, Aug. 21, 2023 includes:

• 10 a.m., two-vehicle crash, no injury, Pere Marquette Highway south of Kistler Road, Summit Township.
• 5:43 p.m., two-vehicle crash, no injury, US 31 north of US 10, Amber Township.
• 5:44 p.m., alarm activation, Pere Marquette Township.
• 7:13 p.m., car/deer crash, no injury, Lakeshore Drive north of Decker Road, Hamlin Township.
• 8:15 p.m., car/deer crash, no injury, Dewey Road east of Culver Road, Hamlin Township.
• 9:18 p.m., two-vehicle crash, no injury, US 10 west of Meyers Road, Pere Marquette Township.
• 9:30 p.m., car/deer crash, no injury, Fountain Road west of Stiles Road, Victory Township.
