Fire causes damage to apartment complex

AMBER TOWNSHIP — Four fire departments responded to a fire at Liv Wildwood Apartments Wednesday evening. Emergency units were initially dispatched to Complex 155 at 9:27 p.m. for a report of a patio on fire. A few minutes later, dispatch information was updated and stated the fire had spread to the roof and then to another building. 

Pere Marquette Township Fire Department and Ludington Fire Department were initially called to the scene followed by Scottville Fire Department and then Custer Fire Department. Also on scene were Mason County Sheriff’s Office and Life EMS. 

The fire caused extensive damage to the building and displaced its occupants. Firefighters cleared the scene about 1 a.m. Thursday morning.
