Thief/thieves steal cash box from fruit stand

RIVERTON TOWNSHIP — A thief or thieves stole a money box from a fruit stand located in the 3400 block of West Deren Road, according to Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole. 

The larceny was reported Monday, July 31, at 7:15 a.m.

Other activity of the Mason County Sheriff’s Office Monday, July 31, 2023 includes:

• 6:40 a.m., a 32-year-old Tustin, Michigan man received a minor injury in a two-vehicle crash, Scottville and Hawley roads, Eden Township. 
• 7 a.m., car/deer crash, no injury, Reek Road south of Sugar Grove Road, Sherman Township.
• 2:08 p.m., a 41-year-old Ludington man was cited for driving while license revoked, Lakeshore Drive and M 116, Hamlin Township.
• 8:36 p.m., a 28-year-old Irons man was arrested for driving while license suspended, and his passenger, a 54-year-old Fountain man, was arrested for methamphetamine possession following a traffic stop, 6900 block of East US 10, Branch Township.
