VICTORY TOWNSHIP — Forty-one people were honored Friday afternoon for role they play in the lives of children and young adult who receive special education services from the West Shore Educational Service District. The 2023 Make A Difference Awards was held in the Administrative and Conference Building on the campus of West Shore Community College.

Award recipients are nominated by a member of the ESD’s Parent Advisory Committee or a staff member from the WSESD or one of the school districts within the ESD. Categories include agency or business, peer support, special education teacher, general education teacher, support staff, administration, and ancillary.

“The purpose of this evening is to recognize those people who make a difference in the lives of students with special needs,” said Dr. Jason Jeffrey, superintendent of the WSESD.
