VICTORY TOWNSHIP — The Fisher Road bridge between Peterson and Victory Corner roads was removed this morning by Hardman Construction of Ludington. According to Eric Nelson, Mason County Road Commission highway engineer, the original bridge, that spans the Lincoln River, was built in 1900. In 1974, the deck of the 52-feet long by 20-feet wide bridge was replaced with steel beams.
The new bridge, scheduled to be completed by Sept. 15, 2023, will be 70-feet long by 28-feet wide. The Mason County Road Commission is overseeing the project.
Fisher Road traffic between Peterson and Victory Corner roads is completely closed during the construction project. The detour is Peterson Road to Dewey Road to Victory Corner Road.
