MCC Forensics Team half way through season

Mason County Central High School’s Forensics Team has competed at three tournaments to date this season. Results are as follows: 

• Birch Run, Feb. 12: 10th out of 24 schools with 85 points
• Alma, Feb. 25: Second place in Large Entry Division, second out of nione schools with 189 points
• Grand Rapids Christian (GRC), March 5: second place in Small School Division, sixth out of 12 schools with 55 pts
• 18 individual trophies.

Students competing and placing at each tournament: 

• Broadcast, Adison Thorne: 10th at Birch Run, second at Alma, and 17th at GRC
• Dramatic Interpretation, Alyssa Raspotnik: 10th at Birch Run, fourth at Alma, and 16th at GRC
• Duo Interpretation, Sophia Edmondson and Lucy O’Harra: 11th at Birch Run, second at Alma, 8th at GRC
• Extemporaneous, Eva Hradel: 20th at Birch Run, and 21st (tie) at GRC
• Extemporaneous, Wren Nelson: 21st (tie) at GRC
• Impromptu Open, Vincent Williams: 16th at Birch Run, second at Alma, and 11th at GRC
• Impromptu 9/10, Riley Moritz: 19th at Birch Run, second at Alma, and 7th at GRC
• Informative, Savannah Kwiatt: 26th at Birch Run, second at Alma, and 21st at GRC
• Informative, Hunter Ohrling: 27th at Birch Run, third at Alma, and 19th at GRC
• Oratory, Jacob Failor: 15th at Birch Run, fourth at Alma, and 19th at GRC
• Oratory, Elliette Thomas: 12th at Birch Run, eighth at Alma, and 17th at GRC
• Poetry, Clara Baur: Ninth at Birch Run and 11th at GRC
• Poetry, Helena Snell: Seventh at Birch Run, first at Alma, and fifth at GRC
• Program Oral Interpretation, Jamie McEachern: 13th at Birch Run, first at Alma, and 13th at GRC
• Prose, Holly Bowen: 10th at Birch Run, first at Alma, and 10th at GRC
• Storytelling Open, Adriana Donahue: fourth at Birch Run, first at Alma, and seventh at GRC
• Storytelling 9/10, Maddie Boerema: 13th at Birch Run, first at Alma, and 14th at GRC
• Storytelling 9/10, Zach Molina: 17th at Birch Run, second at Alma, and 19th at GRC
