Felonies
– Alvonya Martel Brown, 25. Offense date: Oct. 18, 2022. Arrested by Mason County Sheriff’s Office. Count 1: Larceny, $1,000 or more but less than $20,000; plea, guilty, on Dec. 6, 2022. Sentenced on Feb. 21, 2023: Nine months in jail with credit for 50 days served, fines/fees.
– Anthony Lee Sawyer, 35. Offense date, April 7, 2022. Arrested by Ludington Police Department. Count 1: Weapons – firearms – possession by a felon; plea, guilty, on Nov. 29, 2022. Count 2: Weapons – ammunition – possession by a felon; plea, guilty, on Nov. 29, 2022. Sentenced on Feb. 21, 2023: Count 1: 316 days in jail with credit for 316 days served; count 2: 316 days in jail with credit for 316 days served; concurrent; fines/fees.

Misdemeanors
- Thomas Leroy Rees, 34. Offense date, Jan. 1, 2023. Arrested by Michigan State Police. Count 1: Failure to maintain security (no vehicle insurance); disposition date, Feb. 22, 2023, plea and sentencing: guilty, $300 fine.
- Jared Michael Miller, 22. Offense date, Sept. 27, 2022. Arrested by Mason County Sheriff’s Office. Count 1: Failure to report an accident; trial held, Feb. 22, 2023; verdict: guilty; sentencing: $175 fine.
Dismissals
– Randolph Joseph Bowman, 59. Offense date, Oct. 24, 2022. Arrested by Mason County Sheriff’s Office. Count 1: Domestic violence. Disposition date, Feb. 21, 2023, order of nolle prosequi entered.
