LUDINGTON — The following criminal cases were recently disposed at the Mason County Courthouse. 

51st Circuit Court 

Felonies

Case

– Matthew Jason Case, 49. Offense date, March 25, 2022. Arrested by Mason County Sheriff’s Office. Count 1: Controlled substance — possession of methamphetamine/ecstasy; plea: guilty. Sentenced on Feb. 14, 2023. Count 1: one year in jail with credit for 326 days served, fines/fees. 

– Melissa Ann Milanowski, 48. Offense date, July 6, 2022. Arrested by Ludington Police Department. Counts 1 and 2: Assaulting/resisting/obstructing a police officer; plea: guilty on both counts. Count 3: Trespass; dismissed. Sentenced on Feb. 14, 2023. Counts 1 and 2: 12 months in jail with credit for 83 days served, fines/fees (concurrent).

Misdemeanors

• Harley Michael Fisher, 26. Offense date, Nov. 21, 2022. Arrested by Michigan State Police – Hart Post. Count 1: Domestic violence; plea: guilty. Sentenced on Feb. 15, 2023. Count 1: two days in jail. 
• Shawn Ryan Boles, 41. Offense date, Jan. 1, 2023. Arrested by Michigan State Police – Hart Post. Count 1: Failure to maintain security (no vehicle insurance); plea: guilty. Sentenced on Feb. 15, 2023. Count 1: $200 fine. 
• Jacob Ray Warner, 58. Offense date, Jan. 18, 2023. Arrested by MSP – Hart. Count 1: Allowing a person to drive in violation of vehicle code; plea: guilty. Sentenced on Feb. 13, 2023. Count 1: $250 fine.
• Wyatt James Back, 19. Offense date, Nov. 11, 2022. Arrested by Mason County Sheriff’s Office. Count 1: Failure to maintain security (no vehicle insurance). Count 2: Operating a vehicle while impaired by liquor. Plea, guilty on both counts. Sentenced on Feb. 15, 2023. Count 2: 93 days in jail, 12 months probation, Alcohol Highway Safety Education program rehabilitation, $690 fine.
• Kaydee Marie Compeau, 23. Offense date, Dec. 11, 2022. Arrested by MCSO. Count 1: Operating a vehicle while intoxicated or under controlled substance; plea: guilty. Count 2: Open intoxicant, driver transporting in a motor vehicle; dismissed. Sentenced on Feb. 15, 2023. Sentence: 93 days jail, $690 fine.

• Jacob Ray Warner, 58. Offense date, Jan. 18, 2023. Arrested by MSP – Hart. Count 1: Failure to maintain security (no vehicle insurance). Dismissed on Feb. 14, 2023. 
• Jeffrey Lee Scholten, 51. Offense date, Nov. 23, 2022. Arrested by MCSO. Count 1: Improper vehicle plates. Dismissed on Feb. 14, 2023. 
• Ryan William Zwiefka, 38. Offense date, Oct. 10, 2022. Arrested by MCSO. COUNT 1: Failure to maintain security (no vehicle insurance). Dismissed on Feb. 13, 2023.
