The following police activity took place over the weekend in Mason County. 

Friday, Jan. 20, 2023

• 10:10 p.m., Mason County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO): A 43-year-old Muskegon woman was arrested following a traffic stop and charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated (OWI), first offense, US 10 west of Tuttle Road, Custer Township. 

Saturday, Jan. 21, 2023

• 2:17 a.m., Ludington Police Department (LPD): A 39-year-old Ludington woman was arrested on two outstanding warrants for failure to appear in court, Mason County 51st Circuit Court. The two original charges are for larceny and possession of methamphetamine. 
• 11:38 a.m., MCSO: A 28-year-old Manistee woman was arrested following a traffic stop at Hoague and Darr roads, Free Soil Township. During the stop, the woman provided a fake name to the deputy. Once her identity was learned, she was wanted for a probation violation warrant from Manistee County. She was turned over to Manistee County Sheriff’s Office deputies.

• 7:01 p.m., MCSO: Car/deer crash, no injuries, Stiles Road north of Beyer Road, Victory Township. 
• 8:51 p.m., LPD: A 50-year-old Ludington man was arrested for resisting and opposing a police officer, 600 N. Lakeshore Dr., City of Ludington. 

Sunday, Jan. 22, 2023

• 1:19 a.m., MCSO: Car/deer crash, no injuries, Pere Marquette Highway north of Lattin Road, Summit Township. 
• 10:13 a.m., MCSO: One vehicle rollover crash, no injuries, US 31 south of the rest area, Summit Township. 
• 2:13 p.m., MCSO: Deputies responded to the 5400 block of East Fountain Road, Sheridan Township for a complainant reporting an unknown person had opened a bank account using the complainant’s old address and social security number. 
• 7:35 p.m., MCSO: Car/deer crash, no injuries, US 10 east of Tuttle Road, Custer Township.
