Police busy with crashes, warrant arrests
The following is police activity in Mason County Thursday, Jan. 19, 2023:
- 6:42 a.m., (Mason County Sheriff’s Office), one-vehicle rollover crash, no injury, US 31 north of Dewey Road, Sherman Township.
- 6:59 a.m., (MCSO), one-vehicle crash, no injury, US 31 freeway north of Oceana Drive, Summit Township.
- 8:01 a.m., (MCSO), one-vehicle rollover crash, no injury, US 31 freeway south of the Ludington rest area, Summit Township.
- 8:24 a.m., (MCSP), identity theft, 6300 block of South Darr Road, Eden Township. The complainant reported an unknown person had changed the complainant’s address to South Carolina and then used their name to apply for credit cards in Iowa and California.
- 8:28 a.m., (MCSO), vehicle slide-off, no damage or injuries, US 31 freeway south of the Ludington rest area, Summit Township.
- 8:27 p.m., (Ludington Police Department), a 28-year-old Ludington man was arrested on an outstanding warrant by Mason County’s 79th District Court for retail fraud, 700 block of East Fifth Street, City of Ludington. He was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
- 9:04 p.m., (LPD), a 39-year-old Ludington woman was arrested on an outstanding warrant issued by Oceana County’s 79th District Court, Atkinson Drive, City of Ludington. She was turned over to a Michigan State Police trooper for transport to Hart.
