Scottville senior center offering new programs

SCOTTVILLE — The Scottville Area Senior Center has scheduled several new programs this winter including cardio drumming, Zumba, beginning wood carving, a speaker series, craft events, help with digital devices and tax assistance.
- Monday, Jan. 30, 12:15 p.m.: Introduction to cardio drumming and Zumba; instructor, Regina Young.
- Monday, Feb. 6, 12:30 p.m. and continuing each Monday: Cardio drumming.
- Thursday, Feb. 9, 5:30 p.m. and continuing each Thursday: Zumba
- Tuesday, Feb. 21, 12:30 p.m. and continuing each week: Wood carving with instructor Larry Stewart.
Taxes
During the week of Jan. 16, the senior center appointments can be made to assist seniors with taxes, which will take place on Thursday afternoons.
- Thursdays at 12:30 p.m., senior technology help is available to help with phones, tablets and other digital devices, with Kristyn Norton.
Speaker series (immediately following lunch):
- Friday, Jan. 20, Shannon Andrulis of Andrulis Cheese, celebrating National Cheese Lovers Day.
Crafting events:
- Saturday, Jan. 14, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., happy scrappers scrapbooking event.
- Monday, Jan. 16, 3 p.m. monthly card making class, Valentine’s cards.
