Mason County Press is looking for a news correspondent. This is a freelance position with the potential for more hours.

• Hours are flexible but you must be available to cover certain public meetings and other topics related to your news beat. Specifically we are looking for a correspondent to cover the City of Scottville, Amber Township, and Mason County Board of Commissioners. There may be other opportunities as well.
• About 10 hours per week to start, $15 per hour.
• Journalism background is not necessary but we do need someone who is able to accurately report on events and then write about those events in a precise manner that is easy to read.
• Must have transportation and access to a computer and phone.
• Must be reliable, consistent, punctual and have good communication skills.
