One person dead following two vehicle US 10-31 crash

AMBER TOWNSHIP — A 70-year-old Shelby woman died following a two vehicle crash on US 10-31 west of Dennis Road Tuesday morning, Oct. 25, 2022. According to Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole, emergency crews were dispatched to the scene in front of Watson’s car dealership at 7:56 a.m. 

According to sheriff’s deputies on scene, the crash occurred when the vehicle driven by the 70-year-old woman was eastbound on US 10-31 and attempted to make a left-hand turn into the Watson’s parking lot, striking two new vehicles that were parked on display. Her vehicle was struck by an eastbound Chevrolet pickup truck driven by a 29-year-old Ludington man.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Her husband was following her in a separate vehicle.

Crash investigators are on scene and there are lane restrictions on US 10-31 between Dennis and Brye roads.
