LUDINGTON — A Hart man, who was 29 years old at the time of his arraignment*, pleaded guilty in 51st Circuit Court Tuesday, April 5, to a felony count of assault with a dangerous weapon/felonious assault and three counts of resisting/assaulting/obstructing police.

Sabastian Dean Moore, of 517 S. Johnson St., was arrested Dec. 24 by the Ludington Police Department following an incident on Washington Avenue in the City of Ludington, said Mason County Assistant Prosecutor Beth Hand. A coffee pot was used as a weapon, said Hand. Three police officers were assaulted by Moore.

Sentencing guidelines in the case are 10-23 months, and Moore faces serving one year in jail in exchange for his plea.

Sentencing is set for May 24 at 1 p.m.
