SCOTTVILLE — The 27th annual Mason County Central Educational Foundation’s Community Auction begins at 4 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 28 and will continue until March 5. This is the second consecutive year the auction is being held online.
The auction is the primary fundraiser for the MCC Educational Foundation. For the previous 26 years, the funds raised were divided with, initially, the Scottville Chamber of Commerce and more recently the Ludington and Scottville Area Chamber of Commerce. This year, the Foundation contracted with the Chamber to provide organizational, administrative and marketing support for the event for a flat fee.
Over 200 items are being sold this year. Categories include home, crafts, outdoor, entertainment, sports, food, home and beauty, art, service, and tools. Items can be shipped for a small fee or will be available for pick up either at the MCC Central Business Office or, large items, at the donor’s place of business.
The auction raises funds for Mason County Central school projects along with scholarships and opportunities for MCC students.
All items can be viewed and bid on here. Donations can also be made without bidding.
