Man arrested for OWI after hitting US 10 road sign.

PERE MARQUETTE TOWNSHIP — A 64-year-old Ludington man was arrested by Mason County sheriff’s deputies for operating while intoxicated (OWI) Friday, Feb. 11, shortly before 10 p.m. US 10 east of Pere Marquette Highway “following a report of a reckless driver, who was reportedly weaving on US 10 and had struck a road sign in front of McDonald’s,” said Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole.

Friday, Feb. 11, 2022:

• 7:17 a.m., (Mason County Sheriff’s Office), alarm activation, Pere Marquette Township.
• 7:40 p.m., (Ludington Police Department), a 42-year-old Ludington man was arrested on an outstanding warrant for assault and battery and unlawful entry, 900 block of North Harrison Street​, City of Ludington. The warrant was issued by Mason County’s 79th District Court. The man was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
• 8:56 p.m., (LPD), ​a 24-year-old Fountain man was arrested on three outstanding traffic-related warrants issued by the 79th District Court, 600 block of East Danaher Street, City of Ludington. The man was lodged in the Mason County Jail.

Saturday, Feb. 12, 2022:

• 5:23 a.m., (MCSO), alarm activation, Pere Marquette Township.
• 9:12 a.m., (MCSO), alarm activation, Amber Township.
• 12:09 p.m., (MCSO), larceny of debit card, 2300 block of Custer Road, Custer Township. The complainant reported a person had reportedly stolen her debit card.  An attempt to use it was declined by West Shore Bank, said Sheriff Cole.
• 5:49 p.m., (MCSO), one-vehicle crash, no injury, Walhalla Road north of Barothy Road, Branch Township.
