LUDINGTON — The following criminal proceedings took place in Mason County’s 79th District Court:

Misdemeanor Arraignments

-William James Collier, 38, of 6704 W. Virnetta Dr., Pere Marquette Township; Jan. 16; Mason County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO); domestic violence. Pretrial: TBD. Bail: $250 cash.

-Zachery Thomas Van-Tol, 28, of 2018 Moulton Ave., Muskegon; Jan. 17; MCSO; operating a vehicle while impaired by liquor (OWIL). Pretrial: TBD. Bail: $500 cash.

-Jenna Marie Shinsky, 22, of 3895 W. Hansen Rd., Amber Township; Jan. 15; MCSO; operating a vehicle while intoxicated (OWI). Pretrial: TBD. Bail: $250 cash.

Sentencings

– Ronald Robert Arnold, 66, of 6490 W. Forest Edge Dr., Hamlin Township, pleaded guilty Jan. 19 to operating a vehicle while impaired by liquor (OWIL) and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; must attend victim’s impact panel; no drugs/alcohol; subject to random breath tests; must complete alcohol highway safety education; and $755 in fines/costs. Conviction is reportable to Secretary of State (SOS). A charge of failure to stop within assured clear distance was dismissed.

-Rick Allen Foster, 25, of 501 N. Washington Ave., Ludington, pleaded guilty Jan. 19 to operating a vehicle while intoxicated (OWI) and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; must attend victim’s impact panel; no drugs/alcohol/marijuana/controlled substances; subject to random breath tests and drug tests; must attend Mason County Recovery Program; must complete outpatient treatment at CMH; and $955 in fines/costs. Conviction is reportable to SOS.

-Brad Lee Bruursema, 63, of 7093 Donna Rd., Fountain, pleaded guilty Jan. 19 to OWIL and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; 93 days discretionary jail for one year; must attend victim’s impact panel; no drugs/alcohol; subject to random breath tests; must complete alcohol highway safety education; and $755 in fines/costs. Conviction is reportable to SOS.
