Man arrested for attacking cab driver.

AMBER TOWNSHIP — A 40-year-old Ludington man was arrested by Mason County sheriff’s deputies for assault “after he reportedly attacked the driver of a local taxi cab service who was giving the suspect a ride,” said Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole.  

The incident happened Saturday, Jan. 8, shortly after 2 a.m. at Amber and Conrad roads, said Sheriff Cole. The victim, a 45-year-old Scottville man, was not injured during the assault.

• 5:40 a.m., one-vehicle rollover crash, minor injury, Free Soil Road west of Tyndall Road, Meade Township. A 53-year-old Irons woman received a minor injury and was transported to Spectrum Health Ludington Hospital by Life EMS.
• 12:05 p.m., alarm activation, Hamlin Township.
• 12:50 p.m., two-vehicle crash, no injury, Dewey and Sherman roads, Hamlin Township.

Sunday, Jan. 9, 2022:

• 1:05 p.m. one-vehicle crash, no injury, Lakeshore Drive north of Decker Road, Hamlin Township.
• 5:50 p.m., alarm activation, Branch Township.
• 6:48 p.m., car/deer crash, no injury, Quarterline Road south of Countyline Road, Grant Township.
• 10:37 p.m., car/deer crash, no injury, US 10 east of Schoenherr Road, Branch Township.
