Man arrested for threatening hotel clerk after his credit card is declined.

PERE MARQUETTE TOWNSHIP — A 58-year-old Lansing man was arrested for disorderly person at the Best Western Hotel on West US 10 Monday, Nov. 29, shortly before 7 p.m. after allegedly threatening the clerk when his credit card was declined, according to Mason County Sheriff Kim Cole.
The man was also arrested on an outstanding warrant issued in Oceana County for an assault charge.
The following is other activity of the Mason County Sheriff’s Office Monday, Nov. 29, 2021:
- 5:28 a.m., alarm activation, Amber Township.
- 5:12 p.m., assault, 9300 block of North US 31, Grant Township. The complainant reported being struck in the head by a person she knows. The case remains under investigation.
- 5:35 p.m., larceny, Meijer, 3900 block of West US 10, Amber Township. The complainant reported her wallet was stolen out of a shopping cart.
- 8:34 p.m., one-vehicle crash, no injury, First Street east of Gordon Road, Amber Township)
- 9:18 p.m., one-vehicle crash, no injury, US 31 south of Federal Park Road, Grant Township.
