LUDINGTON — The following criminal proceedings took place in Mason County’s 79^th District Court:

Felony Arraignments

Schwab

-Jonathan Henry Schwab, 24, of 410 E. Melendy St., Ludington, was arrested Nov. 21 by the Ludington Police Department on felony charges of assault by strangulation and two counts of assault/resisting/obstructing a police officer. Probable cause hearing: Dec. 1 at 11:15 a.m. Bail: $50,000 cash.

Smith

-Crandal Lee Smith, 58, of 5405 Rasmussen Rd., Pere Marquette Township, was arrested Nov. 20 by the Ludington Police Department on felony charges of delivery/manufacturing a controlled substance (methamphetamine), maintaining a drug house, and second offense habitual offender. Probable cause hearing: Dec. 1 at 11:15 a.m. Bail: $5,000 personal recognizance. 

Nash

-Mark Allen Nash, 59, of 4124 W. Kinney Rd., Pere Marquette Township, was arrested Nov. 19 by the Ludington Police Department on felony charges of possession of a firearm by a felon, possession of ammunition by a felon, and second offense habitual offender. Probable cause hearing: Dec. 1 at 11:15 a.m. Bail: $1,000 personal recognizance. 

Burk

-Thomas James Burk, 48, of 2085 W. Hawley Rd., Riverton Township, was arrested Nov. 20 by the Mason County Sheriff’s Office on a felony charge of third-offense domestic violence. Probable cause hearing: Dec. 1 at 11:15 a.m. Bail: $250 cash.

Misdemeanor Arraignments

-Jerry Bill Cissne, 53, of 6491 E. Glenn Ln., Sheridan Township; Nov. 20; Mason County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO); domestic violence. Pretrial: Nov. 29 at 1:45 p.m. Bail: $250 cash.

-Tammy Louise Tanis, 57, of 402 E. Ludington Ave., Apt. C, Ludington; Nov. 19; MCSO; second degree retail fraud. Pretrial: Nov. 29 at 2 p.m. Bail: $2,000 cash.

-Zachary Benjamin Avery, 31, of 41 43^rd St. SW, Wyoming; Nov. 22; Ludington Police Department (LPD); public intoxication. Pretrial: Dec. 6 at 10:45 a.m. Bail: $500 personal recognizance.

-Jessica Carol Word, 31, of 604 W. Ludington Ave., Apt. 24, Ludington; Nov. 20; LPD; domestic violence. Pretrial: Nov. 24 at 10:45 a.m. Bail: $500 personal recognizance.
