Safe Harbor Credit Union dedicates community room in memory of Rick Chapman.
PERE MARQUETTE TOWNSHIP — On Wednesday, Oct. 27, the members of Safe Harbor Credit Union memorialized the late Rick Chapman with The Richard “Rick” Lee Chapman Community Room at its new facility at 5511 W. US 10. Chapman, who passed away July 19, 2020 at the age of 56, was the owner of Chuck Wagon Pizza in Ludington. He also served on the Safe Harbor Credit Union board of directors from 2007 until his death.
“Rick Chapman embodied everything about the word community,” said Kyle Gurzynski, executive vice president. “We were fortunate to have his leadership on our board for 13 years. This credit union wouldn’t have been nearly as successful without the leadership of a community ambassador like Rick. He always taught us to remember what got us to where we are at today, and that’s our amazing membership made up of local community members wanting the feeling of family. Rick was family, but he was so much more to so many people. This was the least Safe Harbor Credit Union could do for someone everyone loved so much.”
The room is available for community use and can be reserved at 231-843-2323.
