Man arrested for sending hundreds of malicious texts.

LUDINGTON — ​A 44-year-old Ludington man was arrested for malicious use of telecommunications services  Tuesday, Oct. 26​, shortly before 3 p.m. in the ​400 block of North Ferry Street, according to Cpt. Steve Wietrzykowski of the Ludington Police Department.

“The man had been sending hundreds of text messages and phone calls to a 43-year-old Ludington woman over the past few days after being told to stop,” said Cpt. Wietrzykowski. The suspect was lodged in the Mason County Jail.

• ​5:29 p.m., (Ludington Police Department), a 29-year-old Ludington woman was cited for driving while license suspended (DWLS), ​Madison and First​ streets, City of Ludington.

Tuesday, Oct. 26, 2021:

• 5:14 a.m., (Mason County Sheriff’s Office), alarm activation, City of Scottville.
• 5:30 a.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, Chauvez Road east of Custer Road, Eden Township.
• 6:52 a.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, US 10 east of Tuttle Road, Custer Township.
• 7:36 a.m., (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, Angling Road south of Meyers Road, Hamlin Township.
• 8 a.m,. (MCSO), car/deer crash, no injury, US 31 freeway north of Oceana Drive, Summit Township.
• 8:56 a.m., (Ludington Police Department), ​a 51-year-old Ludington man was arrested on an outstanding failure to appear warrant issued by the 79th District Court, 300 block of East Court Street​, City of Ludington. The original charge was second-offense DWLS. He was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
• 7:25 p.m., (LPD), ​a 43-year-old Ludington woman was cited for DWLS, Washington Avenue and Whittier​ Street, City of Ludington.
• ​10:49 p.m., (LPD), ​a 59-year-old Ludington man was arrested for domestic assault and battery by strangulation, 600 block of North Lakeshore Drive​, City of Ludington. The victim, a 58-year-old Ludington woman, had minor redness and scratches from the incident. The man was lodged in the Mason County Jail.
